In the field of higher education, especially in the context of health, emphasis has been gaining reflections on the failure of traditional educational models across emerging educational paradigms, bringing as an immediate consequence of the need to review the educational process, as well as reflect on the posture educators today. In this sense, the study aims to discuss higher education in health, seeing demonstrate the importance of a new teacher, able to collaborate with the construction of prepared subject to act critically and reflectively against health reality in which they are inserted. Studies show that strategies for change that take place in the space of health training, point to the need to overcome a technical training, especially as regards the need to realize that the human being is no longer characterized by the mind and body separation , reason and emotion, objectivity and subjectivity, among others disjunction processes that human. Importantly, this look extended to higher education in the context of health and the teacher must be present in the pedagogical projects of training in Brazilian universities, demonstrating that the health sciences have begun to be parasitized by an ideal of change, which has interdisciplinarity, the basis for thinking their transformation.
