FLORES DIAZ, Dilia. The Venezuela soul in the state-nation projected of 1947 and 1999. Revista de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales [online]. 2003, vol.19, n.41, pp.36-57. ISSN 1012-1587.
This article forms part of a research work the title: "El Imaginario galleguiano ¿Y un nuevo paradigma? (The galleguian imaginary ¿A new paradigm?). Its content includes a brief historical account of the different constitutional periods leading to a more profound reality where, in a sense, the form of how the State-Nation has "evolved" in the hands of the "elected", is reflected. The objective is to contrast the position assumed by two actors belonging to different epochs, but framed in the same historical-geographic context; one of them is Santos Luzardo, created and recreated in the "imaginary" of Fómulo Gallegos and the other, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, created and recreated by himself; by the "sovereing" and religitimated by a slide of votes which brings him to Presidency of Venezuela. Both of them hope in their "imaginary" to fulfill a mission: to build up a new country.
