This study quantifies, interprets and explains some aspects of the behavior of the Caracan speakers with regard to the use of third person pronominal clitics; the data is based on the1987 corpus of spontaneous speech gathered by the Instituto de Philology at the Venezuelan CentralUniversity (UCV). Possible correlations of their non canonical use with different linguistic and extralinguistic variables are analyzed. Among the conclusions of the study the following are highlighted: 1) when the clitical referent designated  possesses an animated nature and a sexual character, the discordances between the generic and the numerical differentiated clitics have little relevance; 2) when the clitical referent designates only one single thing, number discordances between the clitic and referent are practically null; and on the contrary, when a plurality of things is designated, they are relevant, specially with the dative form when the referent is in a postverbal position; 3) the genus itself does not have a relation in the production of discordance, since  anomalies are due to "ad sensum" concordances.
