This work intends to: a) determine the use frequency for cohesion mechanisms used in Pedagogical Classroom Projects, published in the Maestros Hoy (Teachers Today) magazine; and b) analyze the function that cohesive links carry out in each one of the categories that make up the superstructure of this type of text. Theoretically, this study was based on the contributions of Van Dijk, (1992, 1998 and 2001) and Halliday and Hasan (1976). The body of this study was taken from the Maestros Hoy magazine, published annually in San Cristóbal, State of Táchira, Venezuela, focused on sharing experiences and Pedagogical Classroom Projects. Results indicated that pronominal substitutions are significantly high in the introduction, the development and results. In the purposes of the text as well as final considerations, the elision reaches its highest percentages.
