Resumen
RODRIGUEZ ALVAREZ, Ada Nelly. Semiotic analysis of The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Opcion [online]. 2009, vol.25, n.60, pp.28-40. ISSN 1012-1587.
The purpose of French semiotics (narrative syntax, syntactical semantics or syntactical semiotics) is to describe how sense is produced in texts by reviewing the organization of enunciates and their components to find meaning in the disposition of the discourse. This work shows the methodological application of Groupe dEntrevernes (1978) semiotic analysis, based on A. J. Greimas (1976). In The Tale Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, its deep and surface structures are studied to finally establish the textual meaning with the elaboration of a semiotic truth chart. This analysis makes it possible to reconstruct the meaning of polyvalent texts.
