It is a study on the evolution of the educational bureaucracy in Venezuela. Registers, with the available data, an analysis of the course of their ideologies, intellectual programs and conflicts. For this takes in consideration two perspectives: their insert in the administration of the State and the dynamics of profesionalization. Argues in favor of that their performance problems should be attributed above all to the own recruitment logic of the national public apparatus. Concludes with a preliminary analysis of the meaning of the bureaucracy in the current political dynamics.
