Resumen
AZPIAZU, DANIEL et al. Agua potable y saneamiento en Argentina: Privatizaciones, crisis, inequidades e incertidumbre futura. CDC [online]. 2005, vol.22, n.59, pp.45-68. ISSN 1012-2508.
Based on the analysis of the main privatization experiences in drinkable water and sanitation services in Argentina, this article addresses the study of the lessons derived from the concession of the world largest integrated system, that of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, to private capital: A concern controlled by the French transnational Suez. From the examination of the political-institutional and economic-financial dimensions of this peculiar concession, we conclude that the objectives stated at the privatization incept are largely unfulfilled and that the access to service difficulties and inequities faced by the underprivileged sectors of society have intensified.
