Resumen
GARCIA-GUADILLA, MARÍA PILAR. Ciudadanía y autonomía en las organizaciones sociales bolivarianas: los Comités de Tierra Urbana como movimientos sociales. CDC [online]. 2007, vol.24, n.66, pp.47-73. ISSN 1012-2508.
This article analyzes the emergence of social subjectivities associated with new dimensions of citizenship such as inclusion, cultural diversity, equity and the democratization of decision making processes. It focuses on the Committees of Urban Land, new social organizations existing in the popular sectors. Given their ideological affinity with the Bolivarian Project promoted from President Chavez, we studied their degree of autonomy from the State, their capability to enrich social and cultural identities and their contribution to social transformations. We found that the CTU can properly be defined as social movements, nevertheless, when the President or its political project are questioned, they face pressure to abandon their collective identity and to mobilize under the leadership of bolivarian political parties and organizations.
