This article analyzes the Chilean society from 1990 to the present, describing it as an advanced neoliberal society. The constitution of this type of society is the result of the political action of the capitalist restructuration under the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet as well as of the policies deployed by the democratic governments (1990-2007), which have deepened, widened and consolidated neoliberalism in Chile. One of the main consequences of this historical and political action of more than 30 years has been the constitution of a new citizenship.
