The article presents some advances of the research project on «Practices of the Youth as Citizen Expressions» developed with eighteen youth groups in three Colombian cities. Starting with the analysis of the practices and vital trajectories of the young in two of these groups, and with the neighborhood as context, some of the meanings they attribute to policies, politics and public affairs are studied. The article also documents the displacements brought about when cultural and social expressions and experiences change into political practices, in the framework of a subjectivized citizenship, analyzing their limits and possibilities
