Resumen

WAINER, Andrés. Burguesías exportadoras: ¿un camino para el desarrollo de América Latina? El caso de la Argentina reciente. CDC [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.75, pp.95-117. ISSN 1012-2508.

This article aims to contribute to the discussion on some possible consequences of the Latin-American attempts to generate an export-led economic growth and the limits faced by nation states when conducting new processes of inclusive development. In this regard, after inquiring about the changes in the world regime of accumulation and its impact on Latin America, we introduce the Argentina situation in the current post-convertibility stage. This case is significant because one of the main objectives of the currency devaluation in 2002 was to increase exports and encourage the development of domestic capital. Despite the effective increase in exports, a structural change in Argentina’s economy does not seem to have taken place especially with regard to its high level of concentration and its dependent character.

Palabras clave : Dependent bourgeoisie; Exports; Argentina.
