Resumen

AZPIAZU, Daniel; MANZANELLI, Pablo  y  SCHORR, Martín. Concentración y extranjerización en la economía argentina en la posconvertibilidad (2002-2008). CDC [online]. 2011, vol.28, n.76, pp.97-119. ISSN 1012-2508.

After the collapse of the Convertibility Plan, a new economic arrangement is taking shape in Argentine.  Structured around the «high dollar», it has managed to reverse many of the key legacies of the previous macroeconomic regime. However, two trends have deepened in the post-convertibility era and they expressed themselves with unusual vigor during the 90´s (with some history since the last military dictatorship): economic concentration and foreign ownership of corporations anchored in an accelerated centralization of capital. This paper analyzes the forms both processes adopted in recent years, as well as the main factors explaining them and the restrictions they impose in terms of true possibilities of making progress in a harmonious and sustainable development process.

Palabras clave : Argentine economy; Economic concentration; Foreign ownership; Capital centralization.
