The extended precarisation processes in broad labor markets have raised a growing skepticism from different sectors to education. However, criticism towards educational systems has not eroded totally the belief that the match between the contents of education and future jobs is still possible. In this context, the article arises from a research project that examines precarisation processes in three different occupations: garment industry workers, call center workers and professional musicians. In our analysis we determine what skills and competencies are required in each of those occupations and how educational degrees and learning, if any, influence workers’ trajectories.
