This paper presents the results of a descriptive study carried out on a randomized sample in the borough of Sucre, the largest of Caracas metropolitan area, in 2013, where a questionnaire targeted delivery applies. The study was aimed to identify the risks factors for non communicable diseases, taking into account demographic, socio-economic and environmental variables. The analysis shows that obesity, overweight and sedentary life styles are significantly associated to poverty, lack of education, gender and age. More than a half of target population have social environment limitations to improve their quality of life. Additionally, it is identified that alcohol consumers and snuff are highly vulnerable groups. Based on the results, strategies are developed to structure public policies in this area.
