The increase of crime in Venezuela has become one of our major social problems, for the year 2001, the entity that submitted the highest crime rates was the Libertador municipality as it concentrated on 18.35% of reported crimes (CICPC, 2001). To the geography of crime, was to identify the variables that contribute to increasing the criminal acts and geographic regions more prone to such events. In this study, we conducted a regionalization of the parishes of the Libertador municipality with similar criminal behavior during 2001. We determined the linkage between the criminal acts occurred, and a set of social variables, economic, educational, demographic and security through the application of multivariate techniques. The results of statistical-geographical, threw four regions: the first, low crime rate, not related to any particular crime, which clustered parishes that to date had an adequate number of police officers, the second medium crime rate, with average values in the crimes analyzed, related to crimes against persons, the third high incidence of crime related to crimes against property, where the population had a high socioeconomic status, and the fourth, with very high incidence of crime, related to crimes against property, and persons, where the population lived in higher socioeconomic Libertador municipality for the year 2001.
