CASTELLANOS, Angélica y BUSTOS, Xavier. Spatial Agricultural Data Model Under Object Oriented Approach (O-O), For The National Land Institute. Terra [online]. 2011, vol.27, n.42, pp.73-94. ISSN 1012-7089.
Based on the requirements for effective management of national agricultural data, which constitute the main input for spatial analysis required by the Coordination of Geography of the National Land Institute (INTI), we designed a data model for managing geospatial information from this organization. The model and its subsequent completion were performed by following the Unified Process of Software Development, Object Oriented Approach (O-O) and Unified Modeling Language (UML). The model is conceptualized and represents geospatial components identified in the Law on Land and Agrarian Development, designed as a series of information packages, classes, attributes and spatial relationships as factors specific to the OO approach. Finally, using different geotechnological tools, the model is done by building a geographic database (geodatabase), which was appreciated on a municipality of the country. The development of this system allows the Agency to better organization, documentation and centralized management of geospatial information.
