Resumen
CONTRERAS, Félix Ignacio. Evolution of the lagoons as a Function of Slope, North Lomada: Province Corrientes, Argentina. Terra [online]. 2011, vol.27, n.42, pp.145-163. ISSN 1012-7089.
The Lomada Norte, located in the northwestern triangle of the Corrientes province, covers an area of approximately 5 km wide and 80 km long and has more than 900 water bodies ranging from small temporary units to large permanent lagoons. This study explores the evolution and dynamics of the lagoons and their impact on the Lomada, employing satellite images. The results allowed verifying that the lagoons evolve from small water bodies, through intermediate stages according to their degree of interconnection, to form large lagoons or lagoons in their final stage. At this moment, the Lomada and the adjacent plain are connected, reducing the surface of the Lomada and, consequently, altering the original landscape.
