Cátedra Libre on Climate Change (CLCC) since its inception in 2009, carries out its activities adapted to the Work Programs (WP) that the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (UNFCCC) has instituted to implement article 6 of the Convention, relating to the themes of education and public awareness. The WP are represented by New Delhi (2002) Program and the Doha Agenda (2012), as well as established by UNDP in its draft Regional “Promotion of the capabilities for the stage II of adaptation to the change climate” (2008). The purpose of this article is to detail the activities developed by the CLCC that correspond with the objectives and instruments of article 6 of the UNFCCC and suggested in the concerned WP, and present the limitations that has had the CLCC regarding the development of such activities.
