PYSZCZEK, Oscar Luis y SAEZ SAEZ, Vidal. Occurrence and threat of Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika caused by Aedes mosquitoes: The situation in Argentina 2015. Terra [online]. 2016, vol.32, n.51, pp.133-161. ISSN 1012-7089.
Dengues, malaria, trypanosomiasis among others are known in the human population as metaxenic disease (vector-born). In America, during 2014 it comes out in the Caribbean area and the chikungunya fever spreads through Central and South America. A year later the outbreak of the Zika virus breaks out again affecting the region. These viruses are transmitted from female mosquitoes bite, represented by the genus Aedes. Observing bulletins Pan American Health Organization (2015) is sight as a trend, the spread of these diseases throughout the tropical and subtropical area of America for 2016, therefore potentially are reflected in regions of the Republic of Argentina. In this nation Southern Cone of America geographical areas that have features of the physical environment (amounts of precipitation and air temperature) with greater plausibility of occurrence of cases of these diseases are identified. The starting point of this article is to contextualize the epidemiological situation previously identifying the pattern of occurrence of dengue, Chikungunya and Zika in South America. Subsequently reviewed and compared in an exploratory way the occurrence of these diseases in Argentina as well as the geographical areas with values of air temperature and rainfall amounts, suggesting favorable conditions for the establishment of the vectors (epidemiological risk areas).
