Female entrepreneurship in domestic crafts can be understood as the involvement of women who act as leaders and lead their businesses. Understanding this relationship and its problems is important for this entrepreneurship to be strengthened and generate positive results. Given this scenario, this study analyzes how female entrepreneurship aligned with the Solidarity Economy can develop in a peripheral location of the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro, through the Causation and Effectuation approach. Therefore, a survey was carried out with artisans congruent to the Solidarity Economy in the city of Nova Iguaçu. The study was classified as quali-quanti and exploratory purpose, had as a research instrument composed of closed questions, comprising the profile of the entrepreneur and the aforementioned approaches. For data analysis, the Likert Scale was used with the objective of investigating the movement's clashes; of the actors involved. The research results showed low causality and effectuation logics present in the entrepreneurial action, although the artisans highlighted motivating factors such as autonomy and manual skills.
