In the context of Modernity, the evaluative process is turned into an instrument for the formation of the wished individual, according to the official profile, given place to the homogenization of individuals by promoting the internalization of cultural norms in accordance with the demands of the State and dominant groups. A detached individual is produced when his/her feelings and values, the subjectivity of his/her interior world, are annulled. Concerning this problem, the objective of this research is to determine the theoretical foundation needed for the re-signification of the Educational Evaluation as a means for the formation of the human being as a person. Methodologically, a hermeneutic analysis of the theories of the Ontology of the Modern Totality and the Ethics of Alterity was carried out, considering for this references of known authors in the world of Philosophy, Epistemology of the Educational Evaluation and Critical Pedagogy. The results show that the discursive demonstration stands out the positiveness of the Evaluation and the conformation of an Evaluative proposal from the Ethics of Alterity. In conclusion, the Educational Evaluation can be transformed from a thing-making and alienating process of the human being into the fecundity for the formation of individuals on the basis of the Ethics of Alterity.
