Level of preparedness of the 4 & 5 stars hotels of Cumana, Sucre state Venezuela, to participate in the digital economy. Saber [online]. 2015, vol.27, n.3, pp.481-488. ISSN 2343-6468.

In this study the Preparation for the Network Test (Hartman and Sifonis 2000) was applied and tabulated to four and five stars hotels in Cumaná Sucre State, Venezuela, to determine their level of preparedness to participate in the digital economy. The Test diagnosed the level of the four pillars for the Digital Economy: Leadership, Technology, Organizational Capacity and Business Models. It was applied during the second quarter of 2013. It was a field research where the sample included all 4 and 5 stars hotels categorized in the National Tourist Register. The findings show that as a sector, it is located at the level of the Experts Network, with an average of 67 points. It was also found that the sector has the dimension Technologies with the highest level of development for the network, followed by Leadership then Business Models, and Organizational Capacity with the lowest score.
