Abstract

BLANCO, YTALIA et al. Enterobius vermicularis AND Dientamoeba fragilis COINFECTION IN FOUR CHILDREN FROM CIUDAD BOLÍVAR, STATE BOLÍVAR, VENEZUELA: IS D. fragilis TRANSMITTED BY PINWORMS?  . Saber [online]. 2016, vol.28, n.1, pp.152-155. ISSN 2343-6468.

We present the result of a pilot study in which, from a group of six children with positive Graham technique for Enterobius vermicularis, four had Dientamoeba fragilis in stool (positive trichromic staining). The possible role of the helminth in the transmission of the protozoan is discussed.
