Abstract

We report a case of 37 years old Venezuelan patient with Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), who was lately diagnosed with intestinal and disseminated cystoisosporiosis (= isosporiosis) and died. The need to perform a correct diagnosis at proper time and for a successfully anticoccidian chemotherapeutical treatment (trimethoprimsulfamethoxazole; TMP/SMX), is highlighted
