Due to the interest for research on the context of the Venezuelan educational management, this essay has been presented as a first installment on the importance of hermeneutics as a method to address the area of social sciences, and especially what pertains to the education. Thus, from the hermeneutics proposed by Dilthey it seeks to delineate the relevant principles involved in social interaction and transformation of complex educational reality as a transcendental encounter. Conscious of the diversity of educational management models and organizational culture that are being implemented in the Venezuelan reality, the theory from the hermeneutics perspective becomes necessary, as an alternative to the pragmatic positivism associated to a mechanistic conception of the Venezuelan educational system. The study was framed inside a documentary bibliographical model under the modality of an essay, and for it evidences were compiled from primary and secondary sources. The phenomenological evidences were analyzed from the hermeneutics doing the reflections that allow to form a comprehension of the Venezuelan educational management.
