Cryptococcosis is an opportunistic mycosis caused by the yeast Cryptococcus neoformans. It has been isolated from manure and nest of pigeons and other avian habitats which are rich in many organic substances with relative high humidity that allows the yeast grow in the medium. We have observed that many hospitals in our country are habitats by pigeon and avian, which can be a probably sources of infections in inmunocompromised patients, because of their pathology, therapy with antibiotic u other treatment. If these patients inhalant spores from opportunistic fungus, then it will be health public problem.
