Value the effectiveness of the serum detection of specific antibodies, urease test and biopsy of mucous gastric in diagnostic of H. pylori in patients HIV+. Methods: 29 patients, HIV+ (ELISA-WB). IgG anti-Hp: ELISA. Biopsy of mucous gastric: endoscopy. Urease Test: colorimetric methods. Results: 29 patients, 79.31% masculine. Average age: 31.9± 10.76 years, 65.52% symptomatic from gastrointestinal area. 75.86% positive for IgG anti-H.p: 68.42% symptomatic/90% asymptomatic. Urease Test Positive: 68.7% (63.58% symptomatic / 80% asymptomatic). Biopsy gastric: Positive for H.p: 89.66% (84.21% of the symptomatic and 100% without symptoms). No statistical significance among lymphocytes count CD4+ and diagnostic techniques ( Risk level: 0.05%). No association was among digestive symptoms, the positivity or not of the diagnostic procedure and count of CD4+, patients with level of CD4+ less of 200, the serology was positive in 27.73% with 66.66% positive in anatomopathology studies. Serology is an effective diagnostic method for Hp in patients HIV, but the presence of negative titles in patients with less than 200 lymphocytes CD4+ doesnt discard the diagnostic.
