COMESANA SANTALICES, Gloria  e  CURE DE MONTIEL, Marianela. Thought as Activity According to Hannah Arendt . Utopìa y Praxis Latinoamericana [online]. 2006, vol.11, n.35, pp.11-30. ISSN 1315-5216.

We understand the concept of thought in Arendt as part of the activities which for her constitute the human condition, even when she classifies it as vita contemplativa. Thought as an activity cannot be separated from the faculty of judging, which is crucial to the state of human reality in the world. Thought and the faculty of judgement can be destroyed, which originates the greatest evils. While searching through the Kantian criticism of judgement, Arendt discovers a political philosophy in which thought and judgement go hand in hand. We conclude insisting on our responsibility as sources of novelty, to construct the world and maintain a space for its appearance.

Palavras-chave : Activity; thought; faculty of judgement; poltical philosophy.
