Resumen

CECCHETTO, Sergio. Abstract Labor and Concrete Labor: A Conversation with John Holloway. Utopìa y Praxis Latinoamericana [online]. 2007, vol.12, n.37, pp.107-113. ISSN 1315-5216.

John Holloway, the well-known sociologist who revolutionized the academic environment and political debates with his book Change the World without Taking Power, visited Argentina again in September, 2006, to give seminars. This dialogue took place in the city Mar del Plata. In it, notions of criticism, crisis and class struggle are reviewed in the light of the Marxist tradition; and the centrality of the double character of labor within the capitalist system is emphasized as a theoretical tool of the first order for going back to thinking radically about social change.

Palabras clave : abstract labor; concrete labor; social change.
