One of the most important aspects dealing with discrimination against women in the sciences, is the review of language and the concepts that constitute it. An interconnection exists between the sciences that cannot not always be observed without effort and which, when related to gender, is of enormous relevance because it explains the existence of some scientific contents that serve as material for the epistemological construction of others. This is true without forgetting that the disjuncture between the masculine and the feminine is supported by the association of masculinity with power and objectivity and the feminine, with subjectivity and love. This article reflects on medical discourse, especially in reference to reproduction and sexuality, as one of the suppositions regarding the inapplicability of rights. Medical discourse, joined with religious discourse, serves legal notions that impede making the interests and needs of women visible, contributing to the impunity of conduct that works against women’s rights, impeding or hindering material equality or justice.
