Resumen
GANDLER, Stefan. Everyday Consciousness and Life in the Philosophy of Praxis by Adolfo Sánchez Vásquez. Utopìa y Praxis Latinoamericana [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.48, pp.11-23. ISSN 1315-5216.
The problem of everyday life is not studied by many Marxist authors, at least in 1960 when Sanchez Vázquez analyzed this theme in his doctoral thesis Sobre la praxis [On praxis]. Then, Marxist theories concentrated predominantly on economic and political aspects. Everyday consciousness includes elements that can be shared by opposing social classes: an authoritarian concept of the family, a chauvinistic vision of married life, the projection of desires and fears onto other groups, as well as nationalistic and revanchist tendencies. To create conditions for a post-capitalist society, it is essential to analyze and overcome these elements of everyday consciousness.
