Resumen

OVIEDO, Gerardo. A Bridge Between Academic Philosophy and free Essayism. Based on the work of Eugenio Pucciarelli, Interpreter of Ezequiel Martínez Estrada. Utopìa y Praxis Latinoamericana [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.48, pp.25-42. ISSN 1315-5216.

Secondary Literature on the classic major of the Argentine enssay of century XX, Ezequiel Martinez Estrada, is without a doubt extensive and mighty. Notwithstanding, little one has been dealed with thematic the fundamental presents in the thought of Martinez Estrada: its idea of history. If not outside his a “free thought” that has not exerted the conceptually theoretical or “systematic” reflection, deciding rather on a deeply metaforizante rhetoric, we would speak of the philosophy of the history of Martinez Estrada immediately. Or, of its singular historicismo. Its enssay, in spite of being “thought Literature”, also contains a philosophy of history. This hypothesis of reading finds a key of interesting reception, according to our appreciation, in an academic philosopher who usually assigns itself, by own right, to philosophy of history the currents commonly denominated in Argentina. We talked about Eugenio Pucciarelli (1907-1995), recognized professor of philosophy of the National Universities of the La Plata, Buenos Aires and Tucuman. In its consideration, the “philosophy” of the history of Martinez Estrada retakes a discovery of the romanticism: the modeller action of natural means on human history. Martinez Estrada will prolong the narrative of Sarmiento shoot indicating the philosophical-historical incidence of the telluric factor. To it Martinez Estrada adds a circular conception of the history  that presents/displays well-known characteristics of originality, no matter how hard they do not fit themselves to the canon of a strictly academic genealogy. The reception of Eugene Pucciareli allows us to save that distance between the tradition of essay and the academic tradition.
