The objective of this investigation is to analyze the legislative technique of the Soft Law applied to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man. The research is descriptive and uses documentary observation. Conclusions were that the Soft Law constitutes a legislative technique that has permitted the creation of non-binding directives to be followed by the States in the regulation of human rights aiming to facilitate subscription to international treaties that protect inherent individual rights.
