Abstract

MAUREIRA, Max. The Realization of Freedom Approaches to Law: the State and Power in Kant . Frónesis [online]. 2010, vol.17, n.1, pp.53-67. ISSN 1315-6268.

This study is dedicated to contrasting freedom of will, or internal freedom, in terms of principle, with political or exterior freedom, with the understanding that the latter, according to Kant, constitutes experience in itself and therefore, a moment of complete liberty. On considering the exteriority of freedom in this study, based on some special Latin American circumstances, in the first place, its establishment can be observed in the transferred foundational legal texts. Nevertheless, in the realization of freedom, this is not the determining factor, as is later demonstrated, but rather the assumption of this exteriority, that is, the interiorization of the same, knowing it and wanting it.

Keywords : Kant; freedom; law; State; power.
