Abstract

GOMEZ FRANCISCO, Taeli Raquel. Subject-Object Duality and its Repercussions in Law. Frónesis [online]. 2010, vol.17, n.1, pp.69-84. ISSN 1315-6268.

Law is a social product and as such, it must be rescued from participating against human beings and the planet. This contradiction has been impelled forward since the arrival of modernity; principally, since the incorporation of subject-object duality that has left, on the one hand, the subject - of law - and on the other hand, the thing-nature and everything that can be turned into merchandise in the context of capital. Such critical activity that reflects on the very bases of law represents a challenge for the jurist who is committed to life.

Keywords : Eco-social crisis; subject-object; subject of law; thing.
