Resumen

BLANCO, Jessie. Debating Revolutionary Feminism and Socialism in the Construction of Twenty First-Century Socialism in Venezuela. Revista Venezolana de Economía y Ciencias Sociales [online]. 2007, vol.13, n.2, pp.87-102. ISSN 20030507.

The author opens a debate about the agenda for feminist struggle in the particular context of the Bolivarian revolution. Feminism in Venezuela is rooted in the Left but is currently faced with a dilemma provoked by the particular, polarized nature of the current Venezuelan political situation and the undeniable leadership exercised by President Chávez. The dilemma is not new but it has become more acute: priority for the struggle against all forms of patriarchy and and gender discrimination; or for the struggle rooted in class interests and against capitalism

Palabras clave : Revolutionary Feminism; Socialism; Venezuela.
