Abstract

UGARTE CATALDO, José Luís. Juridic Subordination and the Challenges of a New Labor World. Gaceta Laboral [online]. 2005, vol.11, n.1, pp.23-50. ISSN 1315-8597.

The often anunced new world of labor, that in discourse they say has replaced the classic manner of organizing labor, kwn as the Fordian model, produces important effects on the basic concepts of those who have constructed labor law, and especially in the cardinal tion of this discipline: juridic subordination. Frequently criticized by some and upheld by others, this idea as to the starting point from which Labor Law is constructed, has generated a singular debate: we have never stopped talking about the crisis of subordination. The reasons why we continue to survive in this hostile climate even when some changes are accepted are explained in this paper.

Keywords : Juridic subordination; labor law; work.
