Resumen
GONZALEZ, María Candelaria. Flexibilization of Labour Relations: A Post Fordian Theoretical Perspective . Gaceta Laboral [online]. 2006, vol.12, n.1, pp.33-69. ISSN 1315-8597.
The objective of this article is to undertake a theoretical treatment of the post-Fordian schools in studying the productive restructuring and flexibilization of labour relations due to the crisis in capitalism in the 1970s and in the traditional productive Ford-Taylorist productive paradigms (generally referred to as Ford-ist), when mass production changed to a more variable and flexible productive scheme. Among the productive schools analyzed we considered the regulationists, the institutionalists, and the neo-humpeterians. The first groups offered flexible production, the second groups offered flexible specialization, and the last groups developed technological paradigms. The methodology utilized was bibliographical and documentary review of authors such as Xavier Coller and Enrique de la Garza Toledo, among others. The conclusions were that all these schools have proposed that workers adapt to a more flexible productive process, with different characteristics from those of the last century or Fordian movement. All of these approaches have lead to a flexible, poly-valent and multi-functional labour force, with changes in the salary structure, in the work-day conception, training and other aspects.
