We intend to study, comparatively, two of the most prominent representatives of the Generation of 28: Jovito Villalba and Rómulo Betancourt. For this propose follow the line of their habitats, emphasizing their similarities in their initial and progressive differentiation. Try to unravel with this treatment, schematically, the reasons for both behaviors, as well as delineate the degree of commitment they had with the political projects that moved. Aspire to, from there, suggest the explanation for the apparent failure of one and the rise of another, so that we progress in clearing one of the favorite myths of the political culture of contemporary Venezuela.
