Abstract

MENDEZ, Nelson  and  VALLOTA, Alfredo. Libertarian socialism: a proposal for s. XXI. Tiempo y Espacio [online]. 2008, vol.18, n.50, pp.335-367. ISSN 1315-9496.

Recapturing and upgrading the work line presented initially by the authors in the book Bitácora de la Utopía (2001), they expose the theoretical supports and the central proposals of the libertarian socialism or anarchism, philosophy and social practice that born again in the contemporary world as foundation for a possible radical utopia. It is put in relief their reasonable validity before today's socio-political circumstances, correcting misunderstandings or bad interpretations on the topic, and making particular emphasis in responding to doubts and objections that usually arise facing their proposals.

Keywords : libertarian socialism; anarchism; social change; self-management.
