The purpose of this research was to analyze the economic situation in the island of Margarita in the eighteenth century according to the production and marketing of various agricultural items produced in the region and its impact on social dynamics Margarita. Traditional historiography limited only to the economy ah Margarita eighteenth century, only from the standpoint of fishing which is inaccurate because it neglects the analysis of several underlying data and testimonies that island territory also had a share of agricultural items an impact on the local and regional economy. The application of methods of historiography encourages regional and local analysis of aspects not considered to offer the study of this local historic event from new data and references. The findings of this study is to: a) Establish a different view of the activities in Margarita Island focused on agricultural production, b) To complement the economic study of the eighteenth century Margarita c) Validate the input of History Regional and Local Government in the comprehensive study of the processes in the locality.
