Gen. Marcos Perez Jimenez Evangelista was born in a small town, Michelena, nestled between the mountains of central Tachira state, in the second decade of the twentieth century. Living conditions and training of the place and time, are unique and significantly different to those living in major cities of Venezuela, or of more recent times with better ways and new media. The environment of the early years of General Pérez Jiménez was very influenced by his family, who had accompanied the founding of Michelena in that company, and had characters who were prominent in different fields, as will some of his contemporaries. In these "notes" has been dealt a first collection of characters, their relationships and family genealogy, which could have influenced Pérez Jiménez, and relatives who have shared this experience.
