One of the political ideas for the modern era that came to occupy a prominent place within the arguments put forward by those who became stars of the plots outlined for the independence of Spanish America, focused on the proper sovereignty. On it rode the various nominative to which he appealed as a set of political language that extended to the early nineteenth century. This time it is not clarify origins. The lines are the following essay includes an exercise under the influence of linguistic and hermeneutic turn in contiguity with the history of mentalities in its conceptual dimension. It is an attempt to reshape, reinterpret and rethink what at the beginning of the nineteenth was experienced as a way unheard of specificity sovereign, in conjunction with the bases that were based on reflections about justice, equality, law, revolution, the state and the same independence, among others.
