Many were the contributions of various scientists, botanists and scholars to science during the nineteenth century. Then briefly present an overview of various scientific studies carried out by general Julian Churión engineer, while participating as a member of the Society of Natural History and Science of Caracas, as well as an overview of his work on causes of drought and restore forests, awarded by the College of Engineering in 1877, and finally, the importance of wheat in Venezuela. A professional with a vision of an imaginary country to foreign theories adapted. Through its education and training demonstrates its very liberal and progressive spirit of the times.
