This article of historiographical interest is related to the Venezuelan historian and academic of the beginning of the 20th century, Caracciolo Parra León, and sets forth from the start, the form of his work that touches on the style, plan and method of the author, as well as touching on the ideological positivist content that characterizes his dualistic concept full of religious and metaphysical flow. The thought of Parra León is forged by combining the criteria of two historiographical schools as a whole intelligently constructed according to the latest historical-social research of his time, advancing as far as his scientific position of history, but recedes at the same time because of the religious spirit incorporated in his work. The Dualist concept has a special purpose: To establish Hispanicism as a fundamental principle in the formation of national and Latin American culture.
