On the basis of the analysis of a series of documents concerning communications between the so-called "Legation of Venezuela" in Mexico and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela during the years of the second World War (1939-1945), will outline strategies in common to both countries; as it was the security policy of each State, framed within the continental security policy. Mexico for its geo-strategic importance; for oil, due to its proximity to the United States and by the natural defence of their country against the threat that could represent the economic sabotage and espionage, as a consequence of the second world war; not only limited to safeguard its heritage and its sovereignty, but it also cooperated with other countries as it was the case of Venezuela which remained attentive to the decisions of the Mexican Government, to search for solutions similar to their international problems.
