Kari’ña Indigenous peoples living in the state of Anzoategui organize their social, economic and ritual, and base their knowledge and practices based on astronomical cycles and ecological described as stories by themselves, considered as having knowledge. Th e objective was to establish the relationship of nature, climate and spirituality of four indigenous communities of ethnic Kari’ña located in Anzoategui state. To carry out research developed four games during the month of April 2011 in the communities: Mapiricure, Mapirikaki, Santa Rosa Magnolia and Bajo Hondo involving thirty-seven people. To this culture Kari’ña the natural environment is the foundation of their religious world, these people are mostly involved in subsistence agriculture (productive or conuco yards), hunting and fi shing for their family diet. Overall, this research allows us to understand the relationship between indigenous peoples and their environment Kari’ña and ritual practices, agricultural and knowledge involved every day. Beyond that, this study aims to become a way of exploring the interface between indigenous knowledge and researchers, by joining both paradigms, you can study life cycles, natural and social, which can be observed and recorded according to time.
