This article aims to address some of the relationships and problems between the civilian population and the Republican Armed Forces in Guadalajara, in 1863, within the framework of the War of French Intervention in Mexico (1862-1867). In this sense, this work offers an approach to the different interactions that existed between the inhabitants of the city and the military bodies during the armed conflict, being able to emphasize the alteration of the daily life of the inhabitants through actions such as forced recruitment.
