ESPINOSA AGUIRRE, Joaquín E. The immediate law of need: Guanajuato and genesis of the new hispanic military commands. Tiempo y Espacio [online]. 2017, vol.27, n.67, pp.176-199. ISSN 1315-9496.
In this workpiece, it will be boarded the military reform impelled by the viceroy Félix María Calleja once he assumed the command of the New Spain´s viceroyalty on march of 1813, after which he placed in a strategic way, the line forces counted by the counterinsurgency, and created regional jurisdictions which would orchestrate the fight from then. Calleja took over the distribution of his men of higher trust in zones he considered of biggest importance, all with the end of finishing the insurgency movement. One of the provinces which caused him more concern was Guanajuato, because it represented one of the primary ready cash sources, for being one of the principle mining cities, and for finding in there a latent rebel force with the rabble-rousers Ignacio López Rayón, José María Liceaga y José María Cos among others. There it was rehearsed since then, the restructure of the defensive military apparatus, and started the genesis of the later known as Guanajuato´s Command.
