This investigative study revolves around General Manuel Carlos Piar in commemoration of the bicentenary of his execution. Structured in three sections; in the first, the theoretical aspects of secondary origin are tainted on the various hypotheses orbiting with respect to their lineage. In the second, we study the different interpretations that a group of writers have around the historical fact that constituted the arrest, trial and execution. The third presents the treatment that has been given in the current collective consciousness at regional and national level. The investigation allows to conclude that the facts that arose with respect to the execution of the general Manuel Piar are based on a political strategy that is justified by the actions that he carried out against the prevailing political system.
